Who Are We?
We are a contesting brass band currently competing in the Third Section of the Midlands Regional Championships of the National Brass Band movement - although we have great ambitions to go further!

We formed the band in December 2008 with support from a local businessman, Richard Darrington, bringing traditional brass band music back to the mining community of Hucknall after an absence of over twenty years.

Under Musical Director Paul Whyley, the band has in a very short space of time, established itself in the heart of the Hucknall community and is now developing its objectives of  music making and lively entertainment for audiences. We encourage players of all abilities to join us, focusing on the younger generation and run a small, friendly training group in addition to the main band. Individual tuition is available at and affordable rate - contact us for details.

Where do we rehearse?
Every Thursday evening at the Empire Club, Beardall Street, Hucknall. The Training Group starts at 7.00pm and the main band follows at 7.30pm. CLICK HERE for a map and directions.
